The Aqua Oxy pond water algae treatment from Ubbink is a granulate pond water care product to help you remove the sediment from ponds.
Particularly, artificially constructed ponds do not run naturally, because of their smooth sidewalls. All accrued sediment and contamination (such as leaves, feed remains and pollen) sinks to the bottom quickly and forms a layer of sludge.
Microorganisms using oxygen normally break this sediment down. But often there is hardly any oxygen in this layer of sludge, and substances develop causing pools to get unsightly, smell of decay and therefore the water quality decreases. The added Aqua Oxy sinks to the bottom, penetrates the sludge and feeds the microorganisms, which will in turn start to break the sludge down.
